Oromaksilofacialni pregled je specialistični pregled, namenjen oceni stanja obraza, čeljusti, ustne votline in okoliških anatomskih struktur. Zajema klinični pregled obraza in vratu, pri katerem se ocenjuje simetrija obraza, morebitne otekline, spremembe mehkih tkiv, prisotnost bolečin ter druge vidne ali tipne nepravilnosti.

Pomemben del pregleda je tudi ocena delovanja temporomandibularnega sklepa (TMJ), ki vključuje preverjanje gibljivosti spodnje čeljusti, obsega odpiranja ust, morebitnih odklonov pri odpiranju in zapiranju ust ter prisotnosti bolečin, pokanja ali drugih zvokov v sklepu.

Sledi pregled zob in ustne votline, pri katerem se ocenjuje stanje zob, dlesni, ustne sluznice, zobnih lokov in medčeljustnih odnosov. Po potrebi se opravi tudi dodatna diagnostika za natančnejšo opredelitev morebitnih patoloških sprememb, vnetnih procesov, poškodb ali drugih nepravilnosti v oromaksilofacialnem področju.

V okviru pregleda se analizira tudi razpoložljiva radiološka dokumentacija, predvsem ortopantomogram (OPG) ali računalniška tomografija s stožčastim snopom (CBCT). S slikovno diagnostiko se ocenjujejo stanje zob in čeljustnih kosti, položaj zob, morebitne kostne spremembe ter druge anatomske posebnosti, ki so pomembne za postavitev diagnoze in načrtovanje nadaljnje obravnave.

Na podlagi kliničnega pregleda in analize radioloških posnetkov se izdela specialistični izvid, ki vsebuje ugotovitve pregleda, strokovno oceno stanja ter po potrebi priporočila za nadaljnjo diagnostiko, zdravljenje ali spremljanje. Namen oromaksilofacialnega pregleda je celostna ocena obravnavanega področja in priprava ustreznih usmeritev za nadaljnjo specialistično obravnavo.

No. You can book the examination privately without a referral. The specialist will examine the face and neck, assess the jaw joint, perform an intraoral examination, and analyse an orthopantomogram or CBCT scan. You will receive a written report with a treatment plan.

Before the procedure, we carry out a preoperative examination and laboratory tests. On the day of surgery, the procedure takes about 30 minutes and is performed under short general anesthesia without hospitalization. After two hours of rest, you can go home, and stitches are removed after one week.

Orthognathic (orthofacial) surgery corrects misalignments between the upper and lower jaws that cause difficulties in chewing, speaking, or breathing (including OSAS). A candidate is usually an adult whose jaw growth is complete and for whom orthodontic treatment alone is not sufficient.

Most patients return to light daily activities within 7–10 days after arthroscopic or open TMJ surgery. Full chewing load and sports activities are usually allowed after 4–6 weeks, depending on the type of procedure and individual progress.

If bone height is sufficient, the implant is placed immediately. In cases of insufficient bone, we perform a sinus lift and add a bone substitute (often enriched with the patient’s own PRP plasma). The implant is usually placed after 4–6 months, once the new bone has integrated.
