O posegih

Oralna kirurgija otrok zajema specialistične kirurške posege v področju zob, ustne votline in obzobnih tkiv pri otrocih in mladostnikih. Namenjena je zdravljenju različnih bolezenskih stanj, odpravljanju razvojnih in anatomskih nepravilnosti ter zagotavljanju ustreznih pogojev za normalen razvoj zobovja, čeljusti in ugriza. Pri obravnavi otrok posebno pozornost namenjamo individualnim potrebam, starosti, stopnji sodelovanja in čim bolj prijetni izkušnji med posegom.

Med najpogostejše posege sodijo odstranjevanje močno karioznih ali drugače poškodovanih mlečnih in stalnih zob, kadar njihova ohranitev ni več mogoča ali bi lahko negativno vplivala na zdravje ustne votline in razvoj stalnega zobovja. Po potrebi se odstranjujejo tudi nadštevilčni zobje, ki lahko ovirajo izraščanje stalnih zob, povzročajo nepravilnosti v zobnem loku ali vplivajo na položaj sosednjih zob.

Pomemben del oralne kirurgije otrok predstavljajo frenulotomije oziroma kirurški posegi na ustničnih ali jezičnih frenulumih. Ti se izvajajo ob ustreznih indikacijah, kadar omejena gibljivost jezika ali ustnice vpliva na govor, hranjenje, ustno higieno, razvoj zobovja ali druge funkcije ustne votline.

V sklopu kirurške obravnave izvajamo tudi odprte in zaprte fenestracije neizraslih zob. Namen teh posegov je omogočiti oziroma olajšati izraščanje zoba ter ustvariti ustrezne pogoje za njegovo nadaljnje usmerjanje v zobni lok, pogosto v sodelovanju z ortodontom. Kadar ortodontsko zdravljenje zahteva dodatno oporo za premikanje zob, lahko vstavimo tudi ortodontska sidra, ki omogočajo natančnejši nadzor nad premiki zob in učinkovitejše izvajanje ortodontske terapije.

Vsi posegi se načrtujejo individualno, na podlagi kliničnega pregleda, ustrezne rentgenske diagnostike in sodelovanja z drugimi specialisti, kadar je to potrebno. Posebno pozornost namenjamo zaščiti razvijajočega se zobovja in okoliških tkiv ter izbiri najprimernejšega časa za izvedbo posega.

Kirurške posege izvajamo v lokalni ali splošni anesteziji, odvisno od vrste in zahtevnosti posega, starosti otroka, njegovega sodelovanja ter zdravstvenega stanja. Splošna anestezija je lahko primerna predvsem pri zahtevnejših ali obsežnejših posegih ter pri otrocih, pri katerih izvedba posega v lokalni anesteziji ni mogoča ali bi bila zanje preveč obremenjujoča.

Posegi v splošni anesteziji se praviloma izvajajo ambulantno, zato hospitalizacija po posegu ni potrebna, če otrokovo zdravstveno stanje in potek okrevanja ne zahtevata drugače. Pred posegom staršem oziroma skrbnikom pojasnimo načrt zdravljenja, potek anestezije, pričakovano okrevanje in navodila za pooperativno oskrbo.

No. You can book the examination privately without a referral. The specialist will examine the face and neck, assess the jaw joint, perform an intraoral examination, and analyse an orthopantomogram or CBCT scan. You will receive a written report with a treatment plan.

Before the procedure, we carry out a preoperative examination and laboratory tests. On the day of surgery, the procedure takes about 30 minutes and is performed under short general anesthesia without hospitalization. After two hours of rest, you can go home, and stitches are removed after one week.

Orthognathic (orthofacial) surgery corrects misalignments between the upper and lower jaws that cause difficulties in chewing, speaking, or breathing (including OSAS). A candidate is usually an adult whose jaw growth is complete and for whom orthodontic treatment alone is not sufficient.

Most patients return to light daily activities within 7–10 days after arthroscopic or open TMJ surgery. Full chewing load and sports activities are usually allowed after 4–6 weeks, depending on the type of procedure and individual progress.

If bone height is sufficient, the implant is placed immediately. In cases of insufficient bone, we perform a sinus lift and add a bone substitute (often enriched with the patient’s own PRP plasma). The implant is usually placed after 4–6 months, once the new bone has integrated.
