He is an associate professor of orthopedics at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana and a specialist in orthopedic surgery at the Orthopedic Clinic of the University Hospital Ljubljana. In the past ten years, he has devoted his clinical and research work to the treatment of injuries and diseases of articular cartilage. He is an internationally recognized expert in the field of regenerative orthopedics, with numerous high-profile publications, invited lectures and participation in research projects. He is an active member of the International Cartilage Society (ICRS) and the European Society for Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Injuries (ESSKA). He is a member of the editorial board of the American Journal of Sports Medicine (AJSM) and co-founder of the Slovenian Journal of Medicine and Sports.
Field of work
He mainly deals with sports injuries of the knees, patellar pathology, injuries and diseases of the upper and lower ankle joint and foot.
