He completed his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana in 1993 and specialized in orthopedics in 1999. He is professionally and pedagogically active both at home and abroad (in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Canada and the United States of America). In 2004, he received his doctorate with a doctoral dissertation entitled: "The predictive value of hip joint pressure in the surgical treatment of aseptic necrosis of the femoral head". Since 2008, he has been employed as an assistant at the Department of Orthopedics, and in 2025 he was elected to the title of full professor in the field of orthopedics.
Field of work
He specializes in performing minimally invasive surgical methods that enable faster patient recovery and in solving the most challenging cases in this field of orthopedic surgery. His clinical work focuses on adult orthopedic problems, especially changes due to wear and tear of the joints.
