He completed his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana in 1995. In 1996, he began specializing in orthopedics, which he completed in 2001. After completing his specialization, he completed additional training in specialized hospitals in Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Austria, where he studied with leading experts in the field of orthopedic surgery. In 2009, he received a Master of Medical Sciences in the field of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee. In 2017, he completed his doctorate in the field of treatment of patellar instability with patellofemoral ligament reconstruction.

He deals with arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical treatment of injuries and diseases of the shoulder, knee, and ankle joints, in which he also uses computer technology.
